Un finde inolvidable gracias a Elche Blogger Fashion Weekend!!

Esta ha sido la primera edición de lo que espero, se repita muchos años: un encuentro de bloggers de moda a 45 minutos de casa!! Tanto si eres blogger como si no, si este mundo te apasiona, te hubiera encantado tanto como a mi. Te recomiendo que no te lo pierdas el año que viene. Fui tres amigas, Almudena, Fátima y Patricia, y nos lo pasamos genial!!

Safari de Aitana

Hace ya unas cuantas semanas, fui con Victor al Safari de Aitana. Es una experiencia fatnástica!! Está situado en la sierra alicantina, cerca de Alcoy, y alberga muchísimos animales diferentes, todos en libertad.

Some weeks ago I went with Victor to the Aitana´s Safari. It was such a great experiencie!! It is at the mountains, closed to Alcoy, and it has a lot of animals just walking around free.

Está tan solo a una hora y media de Murcia, así que se puede ir y volver en un solo día. La verdad es que fue difícil llegar, porque son carreteras de montaña y hay pocas indicaciones (aún con GPS nos perdimos) pero merece mucho la pena!!

It is just in a half hour drive from Murcia, so you can go and be back the same day. It is actually a little dificult to get there, because you have to take some muontain road, (we got lost even with GPS) but it is completelly worth!!

Cumplí 21 el viernes!! Como llevaba dos años sin poder estar en casa por mi cumple, este año he hecho una fiesta con mis mejores amigos!!

El tema de la fiesta ha sido los años 20: fiestas clandestinas donde se mezclaban señores con gangsters, señoritas con bailarinas.... Todo con una iluminación baja formada por velas y lamparillas (aunque no se pueda apreciar en las fotos), decoración con manteles oscuros en tonos rojos, detalles con boas de plumas, perlas y elementos de póquer... poco más porque ha sido todo hecho con cosas que tenía por casa, pero estoy contenta con los resultados!! =)

I just turned 21 on Friday!! Since it has been my first birthday at home in two years, I threw a big party with my amazing friends!!

The party was a 20´s party: clandestine parties where gentleman, gangsters, ladies, and dancers met... With gentle illumination based on night lights and candles (thing that you can´t see on the pics), the decoration was made with red tablecloths, details with feathers, pearls, and poker stuff... Not so much because id has all been made with things I already had at home, but I am really happy with the results!! =)

Fiesta años 20 (20´s Party)

Las chicas llevaban vestidos lisos negros o claritos con detalles de plumas, cintas del pelo y perlas (cosas que puedes encontrar en casa normalmente o comprar muy barato)

The girls wore black or light dresses with feather details, hear bands and pearls (just things you normally have at home or you can buy really cheap)

Mi look: un vestido vintage de mi madre, y tacones clásicos. He añadido unas perlas falsas, una boa de plumas y unos guantes (del chino) y dos cintas del pelo con un collar dorado atado. (Una foto mía un poco fea, pero la única que tenía)

My look: Vintage dress (from my mum) and classic heels. Just added some fake pearls necklaces, feather boa and gloves and two head bands with a gold necklace added to it. (a little ugly pic of me, but it was the only one I had)

El look de chico es muy sencillo: sombrero estilo gangster, y traje a poder ser con chaleco o pajarita y tirantes

The boy´s look is really easy: gangster hat, and suit with a vest or bowtie and suspenders.

Espero que puedas sacar algunas ideas si planeas hacer una fiesta de los años 20 pronto: la cena fue de pie, con bocados que poder llevarse a la boca, todo cubiertos de plástico (hay unos que imitan a los de verdad) y muchos chipitos y bebida (recuerda que es la época de la ley seca, por lo que se bebía mucho en las fiestas a escondidas) Si quieres ser auténtico puedes servir el alcohol en tazas de té porque así escondían las bebidas en la época.

I hope this can be useful for you if you are planning to make a 20´s party soon: the dinner was stand up, with little pieces so you can eat it with your hands, every plate and fork were plastic (there are some that look so real) and a lot of shots and drinks (remember it was the age of prohibition, so there was a lot of drinking in this type of parties) If you want to make it more real, you could set the cocktails on tea cups because they used to hide alcohol that way

Y el Oscar es para...

Jessica Chastain, Amy Adams, Alicia Vikander, Samantha Barks and Stacy Keibler!!

Como todos sabemos, la alfombra roja más grande del mundo tuvo lugar ayer por la noche. Teninendo como grandes triunfadores a 'Argo' con Mejor Película, 'La vida de Pi' con el Oscar a la Mejor Dirección, Daniel Day-Lewis como Mejor Actor y Jennifer Lawrence como Mejor Actriz, la edición número 85 de los oscars fue como siempre la noche más excitante y emocionante de el año.

Pero hoy viene la segunda parte. Hoy es nuestro turno. Nosotros, el resto de los mortales no invitados, podemos ir a internet, ver cada uno de los vestidos de anoche y elegir nuestros ganadores personales.

As we all know, the biggest red carpet on the earth toked place yesterday night. Having as big winners 'Argo' for Best Picture, 'Life of Pi' with the Best Direction, Daniel Day-Lewis as Best Actor and Jennifer Lawrence as Best Actress, the 85th edition of the Oscars was as always the most exciting and amazing night of the year.

But today comes the second part. Today is out turn. We, regular humans non invited, are capable to go online, see every single dress and chose our personal winners.

This are my winners:

Jessica Chastain con un Armani dice a gritos: "This is Hollywood!!" Simplemente perfecta.

Amy Adams, como una princesa!! Su look en detalle es perfecto: maquillaje suave con un peinado cuidadosamente despeinado, todo coronado con unos fabulosos pendientes. Su vestido, de Oscar de la Renta.

Elie Saab es mi favorito para la alfombra roja, y aunque no sea muy original, en este caso Alicia Vikander ha dado en el clavo con el look para apoyar su nuevo film, Anna Karenina. Una pena no tener una buena imagen de la poderosa espalda abierta de este vestido de ensueño.

Elie Saab is my favorite for the red carpet, and although it isn´t too original, in this case Alicia Vikander just made the perfect look to support her new film, Anna Karenina. So bad I didn´t find a good pic to see the powerful open back of this dream´s dress.

El negro es uno de los colores más clasicos en la alfombra. Echaba de menos la sexy y elegante sobriedad que Samantha Barks aportó anoche. Quizás demasiado escote? puede, pero aunque en la imagen no se aprecie el colgante lo soluciona todo.

Black is a classic red carpet color. I was missing the sexy and elegant simplicity that Samantha Barks brought yesterday night. May be to much cleavage? well.. the necklace fixes it all!

Stacy Keibler fue otras de las que gritó Hollywood anoche. Elegancia y figura diez con un Naeem Khan de espalda de infarto.

Puede que sea muy clásica, pero como comentaba Jessica Chastain hace unos días, muchas mujeres sueñan con el vestido de su boda, pero yo también sueño con el que llevaría en los Oscar desde pequeña.

I may be too classic but as Jessica Chastain said some days ago, many woman dream about their wedding dress, but I do dream with the dress I would wear in the Oscars since I´m little.

Sunny morning!

It was such a great morning, the ideal time to try to practice a little with my camera (Canon EOS 650D) and new lenses (40mm and a fish eye adapter) that I just got from USA thanks to Gema (I saved a lot buying there) and get some sun! =)

La mañana perfecta para probar un poco camara (Canon EOS 650D) y mis nuevos objetivos (40mm y un adaptador de ojo de pez) que me acaban de llegar desde Estados Unidos gracias a Gema (me he ahorrado un dineral!), y tomar algo de sol! =)

Sushi Valentine's

Happy Valentine's weekend to everyone!! =)

I know it's a little late to say so, but I have been busy this weekend (actually I've just been taking some time for myself)

I couldn't ask for more, Victor as great as always, brought me a red rouse, and we had dinner. I picked a new sushi place thinking how cool it would be to have some sophisticated sushi in a night like that, until I got there and I tasted what sushi actually was. NOT liked it a lot... and I felt so unsophisticated in all my life

Anyways the place was pretty good, it is a new chain restaurant called Sushimore, at Santo Domingo square (Murcia.) There was a lot of line, and the place is not big, but it is cheap and good (not for me, but Victor understands about sushi and that's what he says)

Feliz San Valentín para todos!! =)

Sé que es un poco tarde para decirlo, pero he estado algo ocupada este finde (en realidad solo he estado tomandome algo de tiempo para mí)

No podría haber pedido más, Victor tan genial como siempre me trajo una rosa roja, y cenamos por ahí. Yo elegí un sitio nuevo de Sushi pensando en lo guay y sofisticado que sería cenar sushi en una niche como esa, hasta que llegamos y probé lo que era el sushi en realidad. NO me gustó mucho la verdad... y me sentí más paleta que en toda mi vida! (piezas tan grandes con los palillos que se te caen, y no te caben enteras en la boca... no es sexi para nada)

De todas formas el lugar era muy bueno, es una nueva cadena de restaurantes llamada Sushimore, está en la plaza de Santo Domingo (Murcia) y te lo recomiendo. Había mucha cola, y el lugar no es grande, pero es barato y bueno (o eso dice Victor que es el entendido)

Tras un largo día de estudio he encontrado muchos ejemplos de publicidad creativa que me gustaría compartir contigo. Aquí está la lista con algunos de mis anuncios favoritos de hoy:

First of all My favorite Chanel commercial ever: Chanel Nº 5 with Nicole Kidman. I just fell in love the first time I saw it!! It is just a fairy tale, isn´t it?

A German company made a great campaign, remaining us how short life is to have the wrong job, but well, their job is to find people´s job. The street marketing made here is just so surprising.

This Volkswagen add is also fun and intelligent

Hoy, hace 20 años (los que tengo yo) falleció Audrey Hepburn, la fabulosa mujer que afirmaba creer en el rosa, que la risa es el mejor quema calorías, que las chicas felices son las chicas más guapas, que se puede decir más de una persona por lo que dice de otros que por lo que otros dicen de él y que podía ser igual de sexy cogiendo manzanas o bajo la lluvia que en la cama.

Creo que es mi deber hacerle un pequeño homenaje ya que he crecido con "Desayuno con Diamantes" como película de cabecera. Todo lo que ella significa, desde su casual delgadez en un mundo de curvas, pasando por su aportación a la moda basada en capris y bailarinas, hasta su siempre elegante y brillante personalidad, es para mí algo que ha marcado más que una época y un estilo. Ese estilo tan perseguido hoy.

Sin más dilación (que me tengo que ir a estudiar y a cuento de los diálogos que estoy estudiando ahora mismo) te dejo mi escena favorita, como no, de Desayuno con Diamantes. "Días rojos"

I just felt like giving her a little tribute since I had grow up with "Breakfast at Tiffany´s as my header film. All what she means, from her causal slimness, her fashion input based on capri pants and flats, to her always elegant and brilliant personality, had made a big different in a period and a style. (This super looked for style today)

Weekend in Barcelona!!

Walking around all day, a lo of shopping, art and beautiful places... This weekend in Barcelona has been great!!

Park Güell

I went there with my mum and my friend Rocio, because my mum had to go to a workshop, so my friend and I just spent the weekend as tourists. In three days we saw all the city:

We got there Friday afternoon, so after a short stop at the hotel, we went to Paseo de Gracia, do some shopping, and have dinner on that amazing street.

Saturday we went almost everywhere!! Wake up real early, and went to La Rambla, the Boquería market, Colón, the port, and the Gothic streets, where we saw Santa María del mar (the Gothic Cathedral I liked the most), el Palacio del rey, and the Cathedral. That just in a morning!! The we went back to the Ramlba and had lunch at the Boquería (that market is just amazing!!) In the afternoon we toked a metro to Parque Güell, and spent there a lot of time walking around and seeing the beautiful views. In the night we went back to Paseo de Gracia to do more shopping, and finally, a fast dinner and a long walk to Sagrada Familia, because on the night is just so nice!!

Sunday, our last day we went to the Sagrada Familia and saw the amazing Gaudi´s work. After that, we toked a long walk to the Ciutadella park, around all the amazing lakes and gardens. Finally, we toke a long way on metro and went to La maqunista Mall where is the only, and only one Forever 21 in Spain!! And of course it didn´t disappoint me at all !! Then trip to airport, and end our trip!!

By the way!! I got my new camera just on time, so I toked so many pics!! =)

Now time to keep working on my projects and studying because finals are almost here!!

La Rambla

Chocolats in La Boqueria

De un lado para otro todo el día, muchas compras, arte y lugares preciosos... Este finde en Barcelona ha sido genial!!

Fui con mi madre y mi amiga Rocio, porque mi madre tenía que hacer un curso allí, así que nosotras aprovechamos para hacer un finde de turismo, y vimos toda la ciudad en tres dias:

Llegamos viernes por la tarde, y tras una breve parada en el hotel fuimos a Paseo de Gracia e hicimos algunas compras, y cenamos en esa preciosa calle.

El sabado fuimos casi a todas partes!! Nos levantamos muy temprano y fuimos a La Rambla, Marcado de la Boquería, estatua de Colón, Puerto, Barrio Gótico donde vimos la Catedral de Santa María del Mar (la iglesia gótica que más me gustó) el palacio del Rey, y la Catedral de Barcelona. En una sóla mañana!! Comimos en La Boquería (un mercado alucinante!) y por la tatrde, un viaje en metro hasta el Parque Güel, donde disfrutamos de las maravillosas vistas. Por la noche volvimos a Paseo de Gracia y seguimos con algunas compras, una cena rápida, y un largo paseo nocturno a la Sagrada Familia, que está preciosa por la noche.

El domingo por la mañana fuimos a ver la Sagrada Familia y vimos el maravilloso trabajo de Gaudí. Después tomamos un alrgo paseo hasta el parque de la Ciutadella, donde disfrutamos de la naturaleza y los preciosos lagos. Y finalmente tomamos un Metro hasta el centro comercial la Maquinista, donde se encuentra el único Forever 21 de España!! Y por supuesto no me defraudó!! Luego viaje al aeropuerto, y fin de nuestro viaje!!

Por cierto!! Mi cámara llegó justo a tiempo para el viaje, por lo que pude echar muchas fotos!! =)

Ahora es tiempo de terminar proyectos y estudiar para los finales, que están casi aquí!

Espero que mi ruta por Barcelona os pueda ser útil en algún momento!!
