Hoy, hace 20 años (los que tengo yo) falleció Audrey Hepburn, la fabulosa mujer que afirmaba creer en el rosa, que la risa es el mejor quema calorías, que las chicas felices son las chicas más guapas, que se puede decir más de una persona por lo que dice de otros que por lo que otros dicen de él y que podía ser igual de sexy cogiendo manzanas o bajo la lluvia que en la cama.


Creo que es mi deber hacerle un pequeño homenaje ya que he crecido con "Desayuno con Diamantes" como película de cabecera. Todo lo que ella significa, desde su casual delgadez en un mundo de curvas, pasando por su aportación a la moda basada en capris y bailarinas, hasta su siempre elegante y brillante personalidad, es para mí algo que ha marcado más que una época y un estilo. Ese estilo tan perseguido hoy.


Sin más dilación (que me tengo que ir a estudiar y a cuento de los diálogos que estoy estudiando ahora mismo) te dejo mi escena favorita, como no, de Desayuno con Diamantes. "Días rojos"

I just felt like giving her a little tribute since I had grow up with "Breakfast at Tiffany´s as my header film. All what she means, from her causal slimness, her fashion input based on capri pants and flats, to her always elegant and brilliant personality, had made a big different in a period and a style. (This super looked for style today)

Yo no puedo!! No y no!!

Entiendo que las cruces son bonitas... Pero no son para mí y sinceramente no entiendo esta moda.

Un crucifijo es un simbolo relogioso demasiado claro como para llevarlo a la ligera, y menos como se lleva ahora, en este estilo tirando a gotico tan negro. El estilo en sí está bien, pero la cruz sobra. Por más que lo intente, siempre que voy por la calle y veo a alguien con una cruz colgada, en el pelo, en una camiseta o en unos leggins, no puedo evitar pensar por qué la lleva.

Si eres muy creyente, bueno, yo personalmente me sentiría incómoda exhibiendo mis simbolos religiosos tan a lo grande y a la ligera, para salir así sin más. Y si no eres creyente... ¿Por qué narices llevas un simbolo religioso, es que ya no queda respeto por nada? Sueno como una abuela, pero piénsalo bien.

Nuestro aspecto comunica, todo lo que llevamos comunica, y nosotros elegimos qué queremos decir. Por eso para mí es importante saber qué significa lo que llevo. Por ejemlpo, desde que un amigo me dijo que el collar de cuentas de madera de olivo que compré como souvenir en Tahilandia es una especie de "rosario" en ciertas culturas, siento cierto reparo al ponermelo, como si estuviera metiéndome con alguien.

Es comprensible que Lady Gaga o Madona lleven cruces, bueno, toda su estética se basa en provocar, y ahora está muy de moda ser alternativo y provocar, lo que no encuentro negativo siempre que se haga con pies y cabeza.

En un breve paseo por Asos, una de mis tiendas favoritas, he encontrado todo esto:

La semana pasada decidí comprar al fin la Canon Eos 650D para la que llevo ahorrando desde verano, y después de mirar en un montón de sitios la encontré, como no, más barata en Amazon y puedo estar muy orgullosa de decir que he ahorrado como 200€!!

La camara es alucinante, y cuando tenga oportunidad de usarla más y adquirir experiencia haré mi propia review. Pero hoy hay algo que me ha impresionado cuando en clase me he dado cuenta de que mucha gente en España sigue sin comprar online. Sé que gente como mi madre no lo hace. No están familiarizados con internet más que para trabajar y sociabilizarse, es comprensible.

Pero jovenes españoles, estoy realmente interesada en esto: ¿Por qué no confiaís en comprar online? Los ultimos dos años he estado en Estados Unidos y me he acostumbrado a comprar online, como todos los demás de mi entorno y pensé que la gente aquí también lo hacia.

Así que voy a hacer una lista para decir "Porqué me Encanta Amazon y Comprar Online" para ver si puedo ayudar a alguien a descubrir el lado bueno de esto.

1. Es rápido
2. Es muy cómodo, no tienes ni que levantarte del sofá si tienes el número de tu tarjeta guardado en un cuenta
3. Es seguro. Sí mama, NO te van a robar el número de tu tarjeta en Amazon, es como comprar en cualquier otra tienda, la dependienta no sale corriendo!
4. Es más barato. Ahorrarás dinero. Yo he ahorrado como 200€ esta vez, pero no es la primera vez que ahorro dinero. Especialmente si compras desde España hay grandes ofertas de productos importados con precios americanos
5. Te devuelven el dinero tan rápido como algún problema suceda (una vez pedí un libro usado y no me lo mandaron, me puse en contacto con ellos y me devolvieron el dinero instantáneamente)
6. Puedes encontrar casi todo lo que necesites y muchas tiendas están vinculadas a Amazon en su medio de pago para que sus compradores tengan una experiencia de compra segura
7. Los gastos de envio son gratis si gastas másde una determinada cantidad.
8. Puedes seguir tu pedido y ver donde está todo el tiempo
9. Las cosas van directas a tu puerta y si no estás en casa hasta te mandan un mensaje para que puedas recogerlas o recibirlas otro día.
10. Y lo mejor de todo... Si realmente necesitas algo, pagas el envío de un día, y mañana está aquí! (Lo hice cuando se me rompió el portatil en exámenes el año pasado, y me salvó)

Mi super nueva cámara!!

The last week I decided to finally get the Canon Eos 650D, the camera I was saving money for since last summer, and after going through so many places I founded the cheapest price on Amazon, of course, and I´m so proud to say I saved like 200€. 



The camera is just amazing, and when I get to use it a little more I will post my own review. But today in class i was just quite impressed when I realized no so many people here in Spain shop online. I new people like my mum don´t do it here. They are familiar with internet just for working and socializing, but that´s all. 

But young people from Spain, I´m so interested on this: Why don´t you really trust online shopping?
The last two years I spent on the States I got super used to buy online, as everyone else around me, and I though people here did it to.

So I´m gonna make a list saying "Why I do Love Amazon and Online Shopping" to see if I may help anyone to discover the good side of it.

1. It´s fast
2. It´s so comfortable,  you don´t have to even move if you already have you credit card number saved in your account.
3. It´s save. Yes, mum, they WONT still your credit card number if you buy in Amazon, its like any other real store.
4. It´s cheaper. You will save money. I saved like 200€ this time, but is not the first time I do save money, specially if you shop from Spain they give you american prices sometimes, and import the products so you will save a big bit.
5. They give you your money back as soon as any problem goes trough (once I ordered an used book and they didn´t send it to me, so I contact Amazon and they apologized so nicely and sent my money back really soon)
6. You can find almost everything you are looking for they have all you need in there, and so many other stores are linked to Amazon so you get a save shopping experience.
7. The shipping is free if you spend some money, and that is great!  
8. You can track your order, and see where it is any time.
9. The stuff comes straight to your door and, If you are not at home, they even text you so you can pick it up, or get it delivered next day.
10. And the best of all...  If you really need something, you pay one day shipping and it would be here tomorrow (I did it when my laptop got broken on finals last year, and it really saved me!)

Walking around all day, a lo of shopping, art and beautiful places... This weekend in Barcelona has been great!!

Is because you can!

Either in your personal life, in your business, but specially in what is related with a marketing action, the best  reason to do something is just because you can.

Why always waiting for a reason that makes you do things in a hurry and because you have to? If you try to do something just because you can, you feel like doing it, you will get better results. If you advice you clients to try some experience that does not make you earn money, or even make someone else earn money, you are earning something more valuable: trust. This is like buying a present four someone just because you want, and you can. It´s not necessary but it makes the difference.

You may think this is like doing things for no reason, but it is actually doing things for the best reason. When you choose to do something in this way you will find yourself really into it. You have the time, the motivation, and not pressure, so you will actually enjoy doing it.

I´m going to start doing things just because I can more often. What do you think?

El mejor motivo para hacer algo...

¡Es porque puedes!

Ya sea en tu vida personal, en tu trabajo, pero sobre todo en lo relacionado a las acciones de marketing, la mejor razón para haceralgo es simplemente porque puedes.

¿Por qué esperamos siempre a tener una razón que nos hace hacer las cosas con prisas y obligados? Si intentas hacer algo simplemente porque puedes, porque te apetece, obtendrás mejores resultados. Si aconsejas a tus clientes que prueben una nueva experiencia la cual no te hace ganar diner, o icluso  hace que gane dinero otra compañía, tú ganarás algo más vaioso: confianza. Es como comprar a alguien un regalo simplemente porque te apetece. No es necesario, pero marca la diferencia.

Alomejor piensas que esto es como hacer las cosas sin motivo, pero en realidad es hacer las cosas por el mejor de los motivos. Cuando eliges hacer algo de esta forma te encuentras realmente involucrado en lo que haces. Tienes el tiempo, la motivación y ninguna presión así que en realidad lo disfrutas.

Yo voy a empezar a hacer cosas simplemente porque puedo. ¿Qúe te parece?

Normally people talk about how bad is that Christmas has turned in the last 20 or 30 years in this big couple of days when everyone is pushed to buy presents, so materialistic, driven by the big monster of the capitalist world.

Well... I just love it!

It could be because I´m so young, and it´s the only kind of Christmas I ever met, but I love buying presents, wasting a lot  of time on endless lines, and listening to this silly music surrounded by all those shiny lights in the main shopping street of my city.

Christmas is what it is, and actually, if you take all the stores out, you would just have some regular  vacation winter time, with not sense. The needing of shopping, consuming, buying stuff or just look at the stuff makes the deal.

We all say things like we don´t really need presents to be happy, the real love don´t need to be showed some specific day or presents are things that people give you instead their real love. Well, I just feel like a kid that morning, when I wake up so early and wait for everyone to be awake. I don´t care if you give me a pencil, a sock or a Tiffany´s ring, as long as it is wrapped and with my name.

I know it sounds selfish, or materialistic, but I´m actually talking about feelings. Before Christmas I was in the hospital, and I was not able to go out until a couple days after Christmas day. Although my family got here, we had a regular Christmas day and all that stuff.. I did not really feel like Christmas until I went out and saw the lights and shopping, and the music.

Yes, I´m kind of a shopaholic and a lucky one, because In Spain we don´t give presents on Christmas day, we do it tomorrow, and it is called the Three Kings (los Reyes Magos) (I would explain you what that actually is in my next post.)

Why should I feel bad about buying presents (cheep ones cause I am a little broke this year) and wrapping them into nice shiny little bags? I´m tired of hearing we are so materialistic, well.. we are, but what´s wrong with that? I also care about charity and global warm, but I´m not shy to say Christmas is not just a Christian thing anymore, is a shopping party and the day the family meets together and I love it!

What do you think? Don´t tell me you hate presents, we now that´s not it.

Normalmentela gente habla de lo malo que es que en los ultimos veinte o treinta años la navidad se haya convertido en esos dias donte todo el mundo tiene que comprar, de una forma muy materialista, conducidos por el monstruo del capitalismo.

Bueno... A mi me encanta!!

Podría ser porque soy muy joven y estas son las únicas Navidades que conozco, pero me encanta comprar regalos, perder mucho tiempo en colas interminables y escuchar villancicos tontos rodeada de todas las lucecitas de navidad de las calles principales de compras.

La Navidad es lo que es, y en realidad si quitamos las tiendas tendríamos solo unas vacaciones normales en invierno sin sentido. La necesidad de comprar, de consumir, de adquirir cosas o simplemente mirarlas hace el resto.

Todos decimos que en realidad no necesitamos regalos para ser felices, que el amor de verdad no necesita mostrarse un determinado día, o quelos regalos es lo que la gente usa para sustituir al verdadero amor. Bueno, yo simplemente me siento como un niño cuando me levanto super temprano el día de Reyes y espero a que esten todos despiertos en casa. No me importa si me regalas un lapiz, un calcetín o un anillo de Tinffany´s siempre y cuando este envuelto y lleve mi nombre.

Sé que puede sonar egoista o materialista pero en realidad hablo de sentimientos. Antes de Navidad estuve en el hospital y no pude salir a la calle hasta un par de días después de Navidad. Aunque mi familia vino a casa y celebramos unas navidades como siempre... No me sentí como en Navidad hasta que no salí y vi las luces, la gente, las compras y la música.

Sí, soy un poco adicta a las compras pero una con suerte porque en España no damos los regalos en Navidad sino mañana, y se llama el día de Reyes Magos.

¿Por qué debería sentirme mal al comprar regalos (baratos, porque este año voy pelada) y envolverlos en bolsitas brillantes? Estoy cansada de oir lo materialistas que somos, bueno... lo somos, pero ¿qué pasa? También me preocupo por la caridad y el calentamiento global, pero no me da vergüenza decir que la Navidad ya no es sólo una fiesta religiosa, es una fiesta de compras y el día en el que todos nos reunimos, y me encata!! 

¿Tú que piensas? Y no digas que odias los regalos, los dos sabemos que no es así.

Ahora voy a terminar mis compras y a envolver los regalos para mañana! 

Hi everyone! This is me!! =)

They say if you keep doing what you´ve always done, you will keep getting what you´ve always gotten. 

That´s why for this new year, I´m starting over, and this blog is my way to do so.

I enjoy reading a lot about marketing and fashion, and that´s why I though it would be a good idea to start writing myself about what I like, what I do, and a little about me and my life.

Going back to the main thing, this quote had been in my head for the last couple weeks, I know I read it a long time ago on Seth´s Blog, and then again on Facebook in some walls... But if you really think about it, it´s just so true.
We always complain about stuff we don´t like in our life, our business, our relationships... But then we go back  and do exactly the same we always do, and start complaining again. No any more! This new year I´m keeping what I like, what is productive, and creating new ways to get where I wanna be. Since we regret things we don´t do more than ones we actually do... You could join me and start doing what you really want. All being said, step by step  is the only way to get anywhere, so.... Here I come!!

Dicen que si haces lo que siempre haces, seguirás obteniendo lo que siempre obtienes. 

Por eso este nuevo año voy a empezar de nuevo, y este blog es mi manera de hacerlo.

Disfruto leyendo mucho sobre marketing y moda, y por eso he pensado que sería buena idea empezar a escribir  por mi misma sobre lo que me gusta, lo que hago y un poquito sobre mí y mi vida.

Volviendo a lo importante, esta es una cita que lleva en mi cabeza algunas semanas, sé que la leí hace mucho en el blog de Seth Godin, y también en algunos muros de facebok... Pero si te paras a pensar, es completamete cierta.

Siempre nos quejamos de cosas que no nos gustan en nuestra vida, nuestro negocio, nuestras relaciones... Pero entonces volvemos y hacemos justo lo que siempre hacemos, y volvemos a quejarnos otra vez. Esta vez no! Este nuevo año voy a coger lo que me gusta, lo que es productivo, y voy a crear nuevas formas hasta llegar a donde quiero. Dado que nos arrepentimos más de aquello que no hacemos que de lo que hacemos... Podrías empezar conmigo a hacer lo que de verdad quieres.
Todo sea dicho, paso a paso es la unica forma de llegar a algún lado así que... Alla voy!!
